June's Success Story:
The First Step Must Always Be... TAKE ACTION!
I graduated from university in 1995 and like so many others my age was financially illiterate. I was living with my parents, had no assets, worked the graveyard shift at a parking lot earning $6.71/hour and didn’t know how to balance a checkbook. I admired everyone with a credit card because they actually knew how to apply for and use one, whereas I hadn’t achieved even that level of sophistication! These are all beside the fact that no one had ever taught me anything about money. I had never enrolled in a basic finance course and had difficulties learning English as a second language, which was necessary in order to communicate and get by in society. With all of these obstacles, I never imagined I could play, let alone win, the money game.
I completed the Canadian Securities Course after graduating from university and then in 2001 joined the Real Estate Investment Network and began attending Fast Track to Cash Flow events facilitated by Darren Weeks. It was at this time that I began to seriously address my financial illiteracy. Prior to this I had thought that money would just sort itself out over time in some magical way if I just left it alone. But then I began to truly understand that money is one of the few constants in our lives, and whether you’re an 18 year old who wants to buy an iPod or a 75 year old who needs to purchase a hearing aid, you need money!
In August 2005, I was approached by an old friend about a joint venture on a health and wellness patent. As a result of my previous training and experience in business (real estate, paper assets and work experience in accounting), I was able to evaluate the opportunity properly. I decided to make a cash advance on my credit card (which I would not advise most people to do) and invested a lump sum into this venture. In July 2006, I will receive my original funds back along with an after tax profit of 250%!!!
One thing I know for sure is that this would never have happened if I hadn’t Taken Action and taken responsibility for my own financial future. My goal now is to reinvest these funds into a business that I believe will produce a return of over 1000% on an annual basis and get me out of the Rat Race. I will then be able to buy all the real estate I want and outperform most investors because of the business skills I have been taught and the outstanding people in my network.
I want everyone involved in the Fast Track to Cash Flow community to know that I’m well on my way to escaping the Rat Race because of the selfless sacrifice of the entire Fast Track to Cash Flow team and others who have supported me over the years. Each time I attend a Fast Track to Cash Flow event, I internalize even more of the Rich Dad messages about being financially literate in business, real estate and paper assets - and that using the synergy of these three asset classes can produce much higher returns than most people will ever see.
My message to everyone is that if I can do it, so can you!!!

“When I first attended the Fast Track to Cash Flow event, I was probably the biggest skeptic of everyone. I thought Akash was insane for making me get up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning (I live quite a distance out of Vancouver) and spend my whole day there. If you remember, when we all introduced ourselves, I did say that the only reason I was there was because 'Akash made me come.'
But during the seminar, I can say that my outlook on the financial aspect of my life had totally changed.
