Financial Independence
I would like to thank Fast Track to Cash Flow, and Darren Weeks personally, for doing such a great job of bringing financial education and awareness to regular people just like me. My journey began when I attended an evening Fast Track to Cash Flow Real Estate event over a year ago. Although I experienced a range of mixed feelings about attending a business seminar since I’d never really felt comfortable in that type of setting, my financial situation at the time pushed me to overcome my hesitation.
Then I heard Darren for the first time. The ideas and his straightforward way of presenting drew me in and my mind literally exploded with the thought of how simple it was to achieve financial independence. It wasn’t that I was unfamiliar with the information he was presenting, it was how Darren presented the material. It was also about the people I met at this event and the many other events I’ve attended since then. These are real people, not guys from the glossy cover of a magazine, who are following these ideas and experiencing visible and measurable results. In fact, I feel it’s these regular folks achieving extraordinary results that deserve to be on a magazine cover.
Needless to say I was hooked and never looked back. I had a lot to learn and a lot to change in terms of how I viewed money and business; and now I had the building blocks needed to get me going. I started reading Robert Kiyosaki’s books (and other related books) and with every book of his I read I was constantly impressed by how well they were written. I’m also constantly impressed by how well Darren delivers the main concepts from Robert’s books, along with his own Canadian business perspective. The Canadian perspective is so valuable for those attending his events and Darren understands this well.
One day I was looking for the book on my nightstand table, but it was no where in sight. The book was called How To Get Rich Without Cutting Up Your Credit Cards and I ended up finding it on my son Alex’s desk. He was turning 12 at the time and I’d been having a hard time getting him to read at all, yet he stayed up late two nights in a row just to finish it. Believe me, I was shocked. After a short conversation with him, I realized that he really enjoyed the book. He even asked to read other similar books. I gave him Rich Dad Poor Dad and started to play the CASHFLOW game with him and my friends. At around this time, I was invited to volunteer at Darren’s real estate weekend and without hesitation I brought Alex with me to the event. Despite his age, he blended in with the crowd naturally and he was even helping other rookies learn the game.
It is one of the greatest feelings a father can experience when his son is enlightened by something so important – and for my son the material was the business ideas of Robert Kiyosaki and Darren Weeks.
It’s been a year since that occurred and since then we’ve attended numerous Fast Track to Cash Flow events in Toronto, including an unforgettable weekend with Robert Kiyosaki.
Even today you will see my son and I proudly volunteering at every Fast Track to Cash Flow event in the Toronto area, as well as growing as a business team. In fact, Fast Track to Cash Flow is sponsoring Alex this year to attend the Teen Leadership Camp held by Klemmer and Associates in San Francisco. I’m so proud and thankful for this opportunity.
Together with our team, we now own a number of rental properties and we started three business ventures that are growing into multimillion dollar businesses. And this is just the beginning – a great beginning made possible by Fast Track to Cash Flow, Darren Weeks and his team.

“When I first attended the Fast Track to Cash Flow event, I was probably the biggest skeptic of everyone. I thought Akash was insane for making me get up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning (I live quite a distance out of Vancouver) and spend my whole day there. If you remember, when we all introduced ourselves, I did say that the only reason I was there was because 'Akash made me come.'
But during the seminar, I can say that my outlook on the financial aspect of my life had totally changed. I used to horde all of my cash in low-interest term deposits but now my mind is totally focused on building a real estate portfolio and retiring off the income that will be earned.
