I met Sheri and Sharon at one of the first Fast Track to Cash Flow events in Calgary. Their story is such a great example of the power of an idea. With a little encouragement (or a kick in the butt as Sheri recalls) and a lot of enthusiasm they were able to make this idea into a successful business. Here is their story.
The Story of Beaver Girls
After attending a Fast Track to Cash Flow event, Sheri and Sharon decided to buy an investment property so they could start putting what they learned into action. Some unexpected repairs meant they had to get creative about finding the required funds. Sheri had an idea brewing in her mind about creating a t-shirt, but it wasn't until she got some "encouragement" from Darren that she took action.
That is how "I Love Alberta Beaver/Beaver Girls" t-shirts were born. With a bit of planning, teaming up with Revelation Marketing and finding a group of "wholesome Canadian beauties" to sell the t-shirts, they had a successful launch at the Calgary Stampede. With the attention of fire fighters, a couple of local radio shows and The Herald newspaper the Beaver Girls t-shirts were getting great exposure and selling fast. They achieved nearly $20,000 in sales in one summer!
Sheri and Sharon decided early on that giving back to their community was important, so part of each sale went to support a local charity that helps women get off Calgary streets. The Rich Dad philosophy of generosity was put into action!
A feature on a Global TV segment called, "You can still be sexy, have fun and not have to take your clothes off" has started the year off right for the Beaver Girls. New events and ongoing orders are keeping them busy.

I thought Akash was insane for making me get up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning (I live quite a distance out of Vancouver) and spend my whole day there.
