The MP3 players literally fit in my shirt pocket and are the size of a wooden matchbox. We have purchased everything that you have had on display. And I will say again, although I was uncertain about spending a significant amount of money on a handful of CD's and binders and books... I have no regrets or hesitation in recommending them to anyone involved in small business or passive income investments, including real estate; and without being specific, rest assured that they paid for themselves almost immediately - my ROI (return on investment)will be at least 100% in the first year! In fact, they are likely to pay for themselves several times over in just the first year. I was dumbfounded to be honest. And after recently "retiring" after 30 years in business (a very successful business I might add, with several locations and a significant number of employees) I have to say that they are among the best business investments I have ever made, bar none. And you make it easy to purchase them on the installment plan (although we can well afford to write a cheque for the whole shebang, it is much easier to expense them monthly as the cheques clear). Jeez, this is sounding like a testimonial. Darren, we spent exactly one week in retirement at age 53 this past July before booking our first seminar wtih you to learn about investing in real estate (we needed to do better than 2% interest wtihout exposing ourselves). We are out of retirement now (thank goodness... how much Dr. Phil and Judge Judy can one take?) and loving it..we have gone back to our basics...to our foundation; and we are presently doing small business management consulting, specializing in MIS/IT for a few hours each day and spending the rest of our time investing in real estate or providing financing for same. “Thanks for the call to remind me of the upcoming seminars this coming weekend. Although I have taken pretty much every seminar that you have offered over the past six months, I would NOT miss even a repeat seminar for all the tea in China, as they say. There is always something new to learn and there are always new relationships to develop. Darren, as long as you will have me, I will keep coming back for more! I have also taken your advice and am checking my credit bureau 2-3 times a year now. Not only does it keep the credit bureaus on their toes, it is a MUST, just as you stated. The first review of their files indicated that I had several (several!) Ford vans leased at the same time. And a big mortgage on the same house that I had a big personal line of credit on. And no gainful employment. And an R-9 (write-off) that was supposedly expunged years ago - due to identity theft. And a bazillian credit inquiries. And so on. Wow. Was I flabbergasted, or what? Trans Union corrected their records immediately and Equifax appears to have followed suit. Thank you! We had just applied for business credit cards and my bank manager called me the day we received our credit bureau reports to see if I was in jail (nervous laughter at both ends). Downtown had 'bounced' our request... he stepped in and straightened things out for us, but it was not a 'happy' experience for either of us. We keep the completed requests for a copy of our credit report in our filing system now and just pull them out and mail them to the credit bureaus two or three times a year. It's simple... and absolutely mandatory. Our credit history is now clean as a whistle, thanks to you. Darren, I have so many of your CD's and tapes that it has become a chore to lug them around (I'm the guy with the huge CD case at every seminar because I won't leave them in the van). Daughter to the rescue! They are all being dumped onto an Apple 60GB Ipod over the March break, so I can listen to your CD's and tapes whenever I want and wherever I want without lugging around the CD carrier. “In case I have not already mentioned it... your seminars and materials are Grade A First Class materials. One hundred percent meat and potatoes with very little 'fluff'. “Being a chartered accountant I have attended almost every other so called "tax shelter to aid a charitable organization" ranging from buying comic books to help the poor in Third World countries learn to read, to buying costly works of art or CD's to help the poor learn to become computer-literate I quickly realized that it was just another one of those scams that Revenue Canada would consider to be fraud and reassess everyone's tax returns, which of course has occurred. There were a few things that I can say that I took away from the Super Business Conference. One of the things that I liked was to see was Mr. Bill Bartmann. Over the last few years I have met 6 Billionaires and he was one of the more down to earth people than any of them. He was humble. You could easily relate to him and he could relate to everyone. There were a few things that he said to us that really made sense. You have to replace the word goals with PROMISE that way it will get done. No one will break a promise. And 40% of goals do fail, so why do you want failure in your life? You make that Promise and 99% of the time it is kept. And the last thing from Bill would be to make sure that it is your Promise and not someone else's. So you personally have to know what you want and crystalize it. See it everyday for at least 20 minutes, and think about it. There was another speaker at the event that really had impact and that was Karl. Karl stated that it will cost the average company up to $500 per contact that they make. The reason is because they will not do anything with that contact. It will generally go with all your other cards that you've collected over the year. So you've got to do something about that. You should also incorporate within your business to have three types of programs or offers within your company to offer your clients.
